The 5th grade just wrapped up seven days of Basketball Intramurals, and we had 28 students take part!
Throughout the week, students competed in fun skill games, worked on basketball fundamentals, and played scrimmages. They practiced dribbling, passing, and shooting, and had the chance to put those skills to use in game situations.
The students brought great energy and effort every day. It was a fun way to stay active, improve their skills, and work together as teammates.

Kindergarten students had a special visit from Ottawa Children's Dentistry this afternoon. Students learned about brushing and flossing their teeth, the best foods to eat, and some fun facts about teeth!

Shout out to Camree Yandell for her recent donation to the Seneca Food Pantry. Camree, a student at SGS, recently raised some money by making and selling bracelets. Instead of keeping the money, she decided to donate her profits to the Seneca Food Pantry. Way to go Camree!

Our 5th grade students created Valentine’s cards for local nursing homes. With help from our Trailblazers, who provided ideas and materials, this service project allowed students to spread kindness and give back to the community.

The IESA has partnered with Dick's Sporting Goods to offer discounts on school/sport essentials. They have a 20% coupon available this weekend from February 13th - February 16th.
3rd Grade has been hard at work this week learning all about fractions! We even made our own fraction strips so we could see how the different sizes compare.
