On Saturday, November 9th, 12 members of SGS Speech Team participated in the IESA Speech Regional hosted at Newark HS. 4 out of the 6 events earned a Division I rating (excellent), 1 event earned a Division II rating (good), and 1 event competed as an exhibition event. The 2019 speech team featured, 8th graders: Teagan Johnson and Jolena Odum, both girls are 3 year members of the speech program, 7th graders: Grace Beland, Lily Ford, Nina Hacker, Aubrie Jackson Lilly Lynch, and Jenna Traina, and 6th graders: Shan Balandang, Abigail Churchill, Cammy Hill, Lillee Miller, Brianna Newkirk, Brooklyn Szafranski, Chloe Thompson, and Kyra Wood. Congratulations to all members on a successful season!
